Hey all,
I thought I would pass this little tip on. I found baby asprin at the dollar store. I stocked up. I know it is cheap anyway, but I thought I would share this info with other pennie pinchers. LOL

Also I found that this dollar store had a pill cutter and it works like a charm. I wish I had had it earlier now I can cut up his asprin super easy.

The last cool thing I found at this store was the bright colored stretchy wrap. It slips my mind what the name of it is. But we still use it to put on his pulse ox- oh, coban, or coflex.... Whew I remembered.

My other tip is to remind the ones coming home soon that you can get a handicap tag for two vehicles. It is better to fill out the form that you get online or from the DMV the last week you are there so that you can have your Card or surgeon sign it for you... But you can also wait until you are home, although if you don't want to take them out it is better before. EWWWW the DMV is way gross...

Dollar tree... I was buying flowers to make those huge flowers for Ry's hair... They have really cute ones... Too bad boys don't wear them too...

Wait... you can get handicap parking for having a child with a CHD? Is this because of the pain of hauling oxygen and such? I had no idea!

We got a pill cutter at Walgreens and I have seen them at Smith's too. Just look in the Pharmacy department.

The handicap permit is a temporary one (like 6 months at time) but what a difference that makes when going out with your little ones. My nephew has a permanent handicap permit because he has a pacemaker. Nice for parking up close at Disneyland!

Ali, it is wonderful.. Yes, you get a temp pass for oxygen in six month time frames. It is free, you just need to have the doc sign the paper for you. Also if your child ends up with a pacer you can also get one longer... There are lots of things that is a little special for our kids. Like, disneyland. We had our dr. sign a paper that turned our little man's stroller into a wheel chair and we went through all the lines through the handicap entrances... saving us sooooo much time. And letting us get out of the heat. It was very nice. I hope it works the same for Lagoon..LOL

Here's the form:

Your child qualifies for temporary handicapped placards if he/she uses portable oxygen.
