Hey all, I just wanted to let you know that we lost Alex's Med ID. This forced me to buy another one. Anyway, they have some very neat new things to check out. I ended up buying a couple more bands to switch them out between. They are so cute and we end up with tons of people wondering and asking, this helps spread ChD awerness... LOL..... If you are interested in that sight it is...n-styleid.com
just thought I'd pass it along...

I think medical bracelets are a great thing. We use the MedicAlert bracelets because they have a 1-800# for medical responders to call and get his medical history and doctors phone numbers. MedicAlert also calls the mom and dad to notify them if we are not with him. There is a yearly fee for this service but it was just lowered for kids under 18 years old to $25 for 3 YEARS. If you are interested you can learn more at www.medicalert.org

For those who have a Medical IDs for their kids, what do you have printed on them? Their condition? What their sats should be? Your phone number? I know I eventually need to get one for Jack but I'm not sure what info to put on it.

Aimee girl,
I thought about what I wanted on Gator's bracelet forever... And because I don't have the nifty hook up with med-alert, which I am planning on doing... Sooooo Cheap. I put what I thought most ents would understand. I have heard that not all initials are universally understood. (CRUD) But I put Gator's full name, and CHD, HLHS... this way they have his name if anything and CHD which is becoming more commonly known and HLHS, incase for some reason they can call it in and find out what it means. I think when they see his zipper they will know some major tune ups happened... I also went over to the fire station closest to our house and gave them a little report of our situation, a rundown of his current health and some things they might be called out for. They reasured me that if they did get a "special" call that knowing these things in advance would be very helpful. Any ways... N-style ID. Just sent me an email with a bunch of discounts so I am thinking of ordering one of the new usb's along with getting the info for Med-Alert.
