Gracie Hansen Passing

Just wanted to let you know that early today another one of our Heart Hero's Gracie Hansen age 8 passed away.
If at all possible, please keep this family in your prayers as Grandma Lavon has been her guardian/mother and cared for Gracie so lovingly.

As I get more info about Funeral Plans I will forward them.

My heart is extremly heavy.

Grace T. Hansen 2001 ~ 2010 Thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame. Your memory is a keepsake, with which I'll never part. God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart.Grace Teyler Hansen blessed us with her birth Oct. 25, 2001 and was granted her angel wings March 5, 2010 after a battle with HLHS. Grace loved to swim - if there was a pool around she was getting in. Her favorite food was spaghetti, and restaurant, the Golden Corral. She loved school and writing. She was always writing little love notes for everyone and left them taped all over the house. When she grew up she wanted to be a princess. Grace and Grandma Kay were best friends. At times they would have their little spats and that was just one of many ways they loved to care for each other. She taught us that life and people in our lives should never be taken for granted. Grace was raised by her grandparents, Lavon (Kay) and Jeffery Giles. She is also survived by her parents, Trinity (Bo) Hansen and Jessica Archuleta; brothers, sisters and many aunts, uncles, cousins and "bestest friends", classmates and staff at Redwood Elementary. The family would like to thank Dr. Chuck Norlin, Dr. Micheal Pulchalski, the medical staff at PCMC, the staff at Redwood Elementery and The Make A Wish Foundation, for all their love, care and attention they gifted Grace over the years.
A viewing will be held Wednesday March 10th, from 6-8 p.m. at Valley View, 4335 W. 4100 South. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated.

I just barely heard the news about Gracie today. It completely breaks my heart to hear about Gracie's passing. I have a new hole in my heart today that can't be repaired. I am sorry I missed her funeral, I would have liked to be there, I am sorry I wasn't there for you LaVon. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to ease your sorrow. I wish I had a way to take the pain away for you. I am sure you think about her everyday. Please accept my most sincere condolances. I remember meeting you family so many years ago and I really thought this day would ever come. I guess it helps me to realize how short time on Earth can be and to hold on to the memories and create new ones any time you can. I'll pray for you LaVon, and hope you are feeling some comfort during your time of great sadness.
