I came across this article about a heart surgery that was performed on a baby in utero that had been diagnosed with HLHS, although the babies situation was extremely unique. :)Very Cool !!!

Story summary: Doctors at the University of Michigan's Mott Children's hospital performed surgery on a fetus with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) while the baby was still in her mother's womb. The successful operation, the first in Michigan, was done by a pediatric cardiologist from Holland.

Amazing on what they are now able to do in the womb. It gives so much hope in helping those that are born with HLHS.
If it were not for PCMC we would have gone to Motts because it had a seperate cardiac center and not mixed in with all the other sick kids.

I've heard of this! On the BabyCenter heart board, a woman just had an in-utero surgery done. I can't remember what her baby's defect was. I know it wasn't HLHS though. Very cool!
