Here is a press release from the organization Donate Life Utah and The Quest for the Gift of Life Foundation. They are holding a 9k fun-run this month to help raise awareness for organ donation with Kaidence from our group as their spokesperson. Kaidence will be donating the proceeds to IHH!!!! Carolyn received the first check to IHH for $999.00 at their kick-off event at the Celebration of Life Monument today. Watch for it on the news tonight (channels 4- ABC, 5-KSL & 13-Fox). This is so exciting for the group as all IHH members will have an opportunity to be involved in deciding how to use the money to help PCMC's transplant program. BABY KAIDENCE TO PAY IT FORWARD FOR RECEIVING THE GIFT OF LIFE
WHO: Two-year-old baby girl Kaidence Stephenson who received a lifesaving heart transplant after surviving on an artificial heart for 47 days. Mike and Shauntelle Stephenson will be present to share their daughter’s miracle story.
WHAT: Baby Kaidence wants to hand deliver gummy bears and bubble gum to the media for helping her share the message of organ donation. As part of Utah’s first ever 9K fun-run on October 24, Kaidence will pay it forward to other needy children at Primary Children’s Medical Center by pledging $5 from every race participant to be donated to the Intermountain Healing Hearts Foundation.
