Another feeding issue....Kylie has been on Nutramagen formula, but now that she has hit the year mark, she can come off it, she will drink whole milk, but because of her milk allergy I am very careful. Our ped suggested pediasure, but suprise my picky eater wont touch it. I just started her on the formula that is for 9-24 months. She will take it but only 3-4oz, Okay I am rambling so to the point. Kylie still takes bottles, when should I get her off them? The OTand ped said because of her fragile state, if we take the bottle away she wont get enough nutrition, because Kylie isn't the best eater. I am just so flustered do I treat her as a normal child and just quit cold turkey, have a rough couple of days? or just keep trying to wean her off? I am trying everything! How do you get these heart babies to EAT?????? Thank you for any help with this issue!

Hey Chrissie -
I've debated the same thing with Jack and decided that I'm going to let him keep enjoying his bottles for a while. I'm mean seriously - how different is a sippy cup from a bottle? I know plenty of normal healthy kids who still take bottles for a long time past their 1st birthday so I'm not sweating it. He usually drinks three or four 6 oz bottles of whole milk each day. If he's 5 and still attached to his bottle I'll worry, but at 13 months, I'm gonna give him a break.

Good luck!
