Hi Everyone,
Its been a long time since I have been online and posting sorry about that:(
First let me say Hi and Welcome to all the newest members of this amazing group and also to send my deepest sympathies to those of you who lost your angels, my prayers go out to all of you.
My sister called me yesterday to tell me that our neice who is 8 yrs old was taken to the E.R. where she sat for the better part of 8 hrs:(
Apparently our neices lips turned blue, her little chest was hurting and she wasn't doing well:(
Finally after all this time a cardiologist finally saw her and told my sister that her daughter has a FRAYED MITRAL VALVE.
We have no idea really what this all means and how its going to affect her heart as she grows since she is having such trouble now and she is only 8 yrs old.
Does anyone have any info about this because we are really at a total loss and I am really at a hurting over this because she is over 2000 miles away from us and I can't just rush over and give my sister and the family a huge hug and tell them every thing is going to be fine:(
Also she found out that our nephew has aortic regurgitation (like me) and also left heart hypotrophy like his grandpa.
Again I am at a loss as to what this is and what can be done. Our oldest nephew also has heart issues and we are waiting to find out what exactly they are.
So if anyone has any info for me to pass along to my sister it would be such a huge help.
Again Welcome to all the newest members of this amazing group.
I am a 46 yr heart survivor myself so feel free to ask me any questions that you would like.
Hugs....Teresa
