Air Conditioning

In our home we have a swamp cooler. I worry a little about the pollutants (smoke, mostly) that get pulled in when we use it with Dylan's heart. I think I'm being a little silly (not totally silly though) with this. Just wondering what others think.

I wonder if they have some form of hepa filter that fits in the vents? Just a thought...or maybe one of those room air purifiers, if things get too bad.

but we were pretty much told that central heat & air were a "must." I was grateful that the house we had just purchased came with both. Megan's almost 9 now, so they may be giving different advice.
